ECO-Temp™ Style 4450 Gasketing

ECO-Temp™ is a new sealing and insulating material specifically designed for use in alternative energy solutions such as Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) and Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC).

ECO-Temp™ gaskets have been tested in SOFC stack assemblies, as well as on other auxiliary components within the fuel cell system. Style 4450 can withstand the extreme temperature of the electrochemical process while offering great electrical insulting characteristics. This proprietary formulation does not contain components that could potentially contaminate or inhibit the process efficiencies.

ECO-Temp™ in circular ring form is being tested in valves and joints found in CSP plants. It is used in combination with other Garlock Sealing Technologies (GST) sealing products; acting as a thermal barrier as well as preventing chemical attack. ECO-Temp™ material is compatible with strong oxidizer such as molten salt and other heat transfer fluids.
